Management

The Injection Partners management team has deep experience in key areas of energy asset management. Our team currently manages a non-related portfolio with working interests in 200,000+ acres of developmental drilling acreage with 50+ producing oil & gas wells and another portfolio featuring royalty interests in over 1 million acres with over 14,000 producing oil & gas wells.  It is the management team’s goal to grow Injection Partners to over 400 saltwater disposal wells and related facilities that produce diversified, long-term stable cash flow.

Clay H. Womack, Managing Director

Clay Womack is the Managing Director of Injection Partners, LP. He is the former Chairman, CEO & registered General Securities Principal of Direct Capital Securities, Inc., a FINRA Member Firm and he is a Founding Member of the Tenant In Common Association.  He is also Managing Director of Adageo Management, an investment management company, which is the General Partner of several energy and real estate funds. He has served as an Executive Committee member of the SEC’s Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation and as a Member of the California Department of Corporation’s Commissioner’s Advisory Committee on Securities Regulation and Capital Formation.

Mr. Womack has advised several major real estate firms including CB Richard Ellis, Kearny Group (affiliate of Morgan Stanley) and the Adler Group, among others, on the structure and distribution of marketable Tenant In Common programs for the 1031 exchange marketplace. Through Direct Capital Securities, Mr. Womack has structured and directed the placement of over $2 billion in marketable Tenant in Common interests in real estate. Mr. Womack has also advised several energy firms about the structure and distribution of energy investment products for the investment community as the lead banker on over $500,000,000 in energy equity and debt placements since 2005.

Mr. Womack has made presentations at events sponsored by such organizations as the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the California Capital Access Forum, the Small Business Capital Access Association, the Los Angeles Venture Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the UCLA Real Estate Forecast, the Texas Growth Capital Conference and the European Private Equity Group. Mr. Womack was a co-founder and served on the Board of Directors of the Tenant In Common Association and served on the editorial board of E-Securities, an industry legal publication. Mr. Womack is a member of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association.

Mr. Womack studied Petroleum Land Management at Stephen F. Austin State University and received a BS degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University where he also served on the Graziadio Business School Board of Visitors.

Markel D. Petty, Chief Financial Officer

Markel Petty is the Chief Financial Officer of Injection Partners LP, and Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Security Management, Inc., where he oversees the royalty management and investor relations operations of an energy fund with interests in over 14,000 oil and gas wells.  From January 2006 until September 2009, Mr. Petty was Chief Financial Officer for Direct Capital Securities, Inc., a broker dealer firm in the financial investments arena specializing in direct private placement syndications.  As their Financial & Operations Principal (FINOP), he successfully completed numerous annual audits of books and records by regulators from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Prior to 2006, Mr. Petty spent 20+ years in Enterprise Consulting Services.  Having consulted with over 40 companies to improve operations, processes, and systems, Mr. Petty brings experience in operations management and accounting with a wide variety of businesses, such as Celestial Seasonings, PPG Industries, and Barr Laboratories.

Mr. Petty attained his MBA degree with honors from Southern Methodist University, having completed his undergraduate work at Stephen F. Austin University with applied studies in Data Processing and Accounting.   He has also achieved a Series 27 license with FINRA and a CPIM certification with the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
